Your guide for this event is Le Paris De Patrick
Today we’re going to visit the former priory of Saint-Arnoul, located in the commune of Crépy-en-Valois, in the Oise department.
The priory flourished thanks to numerous donations until the early 13th century.
The monastery’s prosperity was undermined by the Hundred Years’ War, and the choir of the church was burnt down by the English around 1431.
It’s a very moving building, because even though it’s in ruins, you can still see all its majesty.
We will also talk about the pigs, without whom the English would have conquered Crepy during their first attack.
